Nasmyth Group, a leading global supplier of precision products and engineering services for the aerospace industry, is delighted to announce that Chairman and CEO, Peter Smith, has been appointed as a UK Representative on the Civil Aviation Business Unit of ASD (AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe).
ASD provides a single platform for the development of the aeronautics, space, defence and security industries across Europe by raising awareness and promoting the values and positions of its members to all EU institutions. It works closely with those members in four sector-focused Business Units (Civil Aviation, Space, Security and Defence) and six Commissions (ELT, R&T, Environment, Services, Supply Chain, and SMEs and External Affairs) that address cross-functional areas.
In joining the Civil Aviation Business Unit, Peter becomes Nasmyths second ASD UK Representative. Divisional Managing Director, Simon Beech, has held an equivalent position on the Supply Chain Commission for the last 4 years.
